Typically it won’t get stuck now but there are chances that it still won’t like a few of the songs. Just go into Preferences -> Playback and uncheck the crossfade option. I have an issue, which I've read a few discussion threads on, whereby when iTunes is opened it starts "determining gapless playback information".
